Which computer certification do you believe offers the best chance for a job these days?

My husband has a background in MS Office, data analysis with some SPSS and a BA in political science. But without enough experience, he can’t seem to get a job and has been repairing autos for the past two years. He’s hoping to study for a specific computer certification that he can use to get a foot in the door and some experience in IT. What would you recommend?
