My first go at dual LCD monitors

I picked up a second 19″ Dell 1905FP and installed another video card.  One monitor used the VGA connection and the other DVI.

The Lifehacker article linked up to this piece at the New York times touting the benefits of a second monitor The Virtues of a Second Screen.

Stepping up to widescreen LCD monitors

In 2009, I started upgrading my monitors to the widescreen ones.  There were amazing deals on Samsung monitors over the holiday season and I picked up 2 23″ LCD’s for $140 each.

Multi-Monitor from Wikipedia

Multi-monitor, also known as Multi-display, Multi-head and Dual-Monitor are synonymous terms referring to the use of multiple physical display devices such as monitors, televisions and projectors in order to increase the area available for computer programs running on a single computer system. Microsoft describes this setup as “one of the best ways to improve your productivity”.  Randy Pausch recommended multiple monitors for improving personal productivity in his Time Management lecture.

Adria, you're only the second female I've seen share her muti-monitor workspace online. The other is Claudia: http://www.hispaniclanguages.com/blog/2010/01/22/shortcuts-and-tips-for-multiple-and-single-monitor-set-ups/
