Continuing on with a new tradition, shows that fall on the Monday after a conference or travel time will simply be a “Grab Bag” day where people can submit questions about all sorts of technology and I will pull items from my email and recent technology news to discuss.

Check out the live show at 6:30pm Central today at http://askadria.com/live

With next week being my birthday, I’ve selected a cute and whimsical image for today’s show of some clowns on a party bag

This week’s “Grab Bag” topics:

Questions via Email

“Is there a way to get an RSS feed of the tweets I’ve retweeted? tag: twitter”

– From Paul

“if I accidentally deleted email from an IMAP server (using Mail.app in OS X), is there any way I can restore those messages to the server from backups?”

– Kunal

“I dropped my iphone 3g and it now has a crack going across the top of the glass. The touch screen still works. Is it worth getting repaired? How much will it cost?”

– Devin

“I recently purchased a cable which converts USB to serial, in an effort to print to my HP Laserjet 4 printer via its serial port from my Everex StepNote laptop, but it won’t work. The laptop is running Windows Vista Home Basic SP2. I am simultaneously and successfully printing to the HP Laserjet 4 via its parallel port from another older computer running Windows XP. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or if I am attempting something that is not possible?”

– Thanks from Ward
