I’ve decided to switch back to Ustream’s embedded chat for the following reasons:

  • Ustream has many more corporate streaming accounts
  • Ustream has more funding
  • Ustream’s community continues to grow
  • Registered chat increase the chance viewers will watch my show again
  • I share viewers with other streamers
  • My show benefits from the larger Ustream community

Things I wish were different about UStream’s Chat:

  • It wasn’t an ugly teal color
  • We have the option to require registration before chat
  • Ability to kick users from front end of chat
  • Ability for viewers to sign up without leaving embedded chat
  • Ability for viewers to signup without refresh
